What can I expect during a mobile massage session?
When you have booked in your massage appointment, I will arrive at the requested time and set up my equipment. There will be a short consultation to gain the information needed for the massage. I will briefly leave the room while you undress to your level of comfort and lay under the towel on the table. Once you have stated you are ready, I will return for the massage. At the end of the massage, I will again leave to let you dress and then pack away and answer any questions you may.
How should I prepare for my massage at home?
I bring a professional massage table, fresh linens, massage oil, and everything needed to set up in your home. Ideally, please prepare a quiet, warm space with enough room to set up the massage table (around 2m x 2m)
What should I wear during the massage?
Wear whatever you are comfortable in. I may ask you to undress to a point that is necessary and that is within your comfort level. You will be professionally draped at all times, with only the area being worked on uncovered.
How long is a typical session?
Sessions are available in 60 or 90 minute slots. The actual hands-on time may vary slightly to allow for a short consultation before the massage begins.
Do you treat injuries or medical conditions?
I offer remedial and sports massage to support recovery and manage pain. However, massage is not a substitute for medical care. If you have a serious injury or medical condition, please consult your GP first.
Is massage safe during pregnancy?
Absolutely! I offer pregnancy massage that’s safe from the second trimester onward. I have completed a course specifically in pregnancy massage and am insured to do so.
How will I feel after my massage?
Hopefully much better! Do get up slowly from the bed at the end of the massage as some people can feel slightly dizzy or light headed. Make sure you rest and drink plenty of water throughout the rest of the day. If you have received a deep tissue massage, you may be tender in the areas worked for the next 24 hours or so which is normal after your tissues have been worked. You should start to feel your muscles are less tense and more relaxed after this.
How do I pay for my session?
Payment can be made via bank transfer or cash at the time of your appointment. You’ll receive full payment details in your booking confirmation.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a fee. I understand that emergencies happen, so please contact me as soon as possible if you need to reschedule.
Can I book a massage for someone else?
Yes, gift vouchers are available, and massages can be booked for friends or family with their consent. Just ensure they’re aware of the booking and comfortable with a mobile massage setup.
